I have had one pair of these tights for more than a year and I they are very durable. They have a great smooth texture and are very opaque and warm. I rinse them out in the sink at night and wear them a few times a week during the winter. I definitely think that they are worth the money.
I think the customer who ripped hers on a hangnail must have had a bum pair!

I bought my pair of Spanx Two-Timin' tights when they first came out, about 5 years ago, and that same pair is still going strong. No holes, no rips, no ladders. They are smooth and warm, and clothes do not get hung up on them. They fit true to size. They are durable -- and I do not baby mine. They have been in the washer at least once a week for the past 5 winters. They are a great value. Spanx tights go for about $26 - these are essentially two tights in one for $34. They truly are two different colors. On the brown side, they look brown. On the black side, they are unmistakably black -- there's no bleeding through from one side color to the other. No one knows these are reversible unless I choose to tell them the secret.I just bought two more pairs, and I expect these will perform as well. Wear these with confidence. Highly recommended.

I bought two pairs of size A reversible brown/black tights last year just to see what they were like. I am only 5 feet tall and size 0 so I usually have problems with hose bunching at the ankles and falling down below my waist. These do neither AND they are durable. I wore these tights to stand in all day everyday at work last winter. One day when I got home there was a terrible ice storm and I had to park at the bottom of my 1/3 of a mile driveway and walk up the side of it through the briars with only my tights and a short skirt on my legs. Not only did the tights come out of this episode without any snags or rips, I continued to wear this same pair all winter and never needed to open the other package. They wash well, even in the regular cycle with other clothes, as my boyfriend does the laundry and has no sense of separating loads...

These tights do exactly what they promise: firm, tone, lift, smooth. They also last and last and last. They can be washed in the machine, and mine have lasted me for 5 years. I'm just now replacing my first pair with two more pairs. I'm 5'4", 120#, and wear a size A. Some people complain that their Spanx roll at the waist, but they don't do so in a size A. Spanx are just a pair of tights, not a civil engineering project.
